I have a confession and I’ve been holding this back since the last time that I updated. I’m not expecting to be forgiven, and I take full accountability for my actions in this whole thing. I’m discontinuing my Ford Pines x Reader fic for the sole reason that… it’s ai. I KNOW, I KNOW. I started it when ai was still a fresh topic, and I hadn’t written a story since I was 12. Once I got back into it, I felt extremely insecure about my writing, and would plug in whatever I wrote into ChatGPT to make it better. I never FULLY wrote anything with ChatGPT, which isn’t an excuse, but I did plug in my writing. Every single comment, every compliment on what I’ve written, made me feel incredibly awful but I didn’t want to be outcasted, so I continued. My updates eventually became slower, and I grew out of writing for a bit, then decided to download Tumblr and begin writing withOUT ai. Full stop. I want to make my stance on generative ai clear: I do NOT support it, especially in fandom spaces, and it baffles me that it took me that long to take that stance. I’m really sorry to everyone who loved the story and to everyone who supported me. Any story I make on this account from now on will have ABSOLUTELY ZERO ai aid. I’m also open to rewriting and finishing the fic, this time with MY writing, if that’s something you guys would give me the chance to do. Thank you for reading.
