          First off I just want to saw thank you for taking the time to read, vote and leave a comment. 
          
          To answer your question: 
          As an author - I honestly don't know I just write in hopes that someone will notice and like my vision. 
          As a reader- I would say it depends on how I feel. If I read your books and the first two chapters interest me, I will continue. Tbh when I'm starting a new book, especially if it's my first time with an author I will only give them two chapters to wow me. Maybe three depending on how I feel. 
          
          So to give you an honest answer it just depends on the reader and if they want to continue reading and support you.

            I actually publish on Amazon kDp, where I get royalties from every sale, my books are instantly viewed by people worldwide, I have more control over formats and prices, and I get other benefits. I had hoped to find something similar on Wattpad, but it seems to work differently. Based on what I've seen so far and what you also told me, Wattpad seems like the ideal place to grow my readership and engage with readers, which is something I've wanted for a long time, so I'll be doing that here and continuing to publish to kDp. Thanks once again

            In reality, I publish via amazon kDp, where I receive royalties from each sale, my books are promptly seen by people all over the world, I have more control over formats and prices, and I gain other advantages.  I had hoped to discover something comparable on Wattpad, but it seems to function differently. 
            From what I've seen so far, and what you told me as well,  I'm thinking that Wattpad seems like the perfect location to expand my readership and interact with readers something I've desired for a long time, so I will be doing that here, and continue publishing to kDp as well
