how do i even go about learning to edit

@avclubs i’ve been watching a lot of tiktok tutorials lately!!! i’ve been trying to edit on my phone, which can be a little more difficult to do certain kinds of editing, but for basic editing it’s really easy. capcut is a free app that has SO MANY effects. a lot are unlocked but a few you’ll have to get pro for. just look up capcut tutorials on tiktok and there will be thousand of videos going step by step for all the different effects, how to download clips, how to make them hd, etc

i’ve been an editor since 2019 & i say if you have a good working laptop, there is sooooo many tutorials on youtube to get after effects for free && i personally see after effects as the best editing software
but if you’re editing on your phone, go download videostar (you do have to pay for a lot of add on’s for this app) &&& youtube tutorials SAVED me while i was beginning to edit
