Hi, my name is Angelo Garcia, and I'm fifteen years old. Until about three years ago, I didn't know that I liked to write. As a matter of fact, whenever I got a writing assignment in class I would be one of the people that groaned. But four years ago, it all changed. I wrote a story. People loved it. People encouraged me to do more, and that's what I plan to do now and hopefully for the rest of my life. I love to write fiction and fantasy stories. Recently, however, my family and friends have been telling me that I have a certain knack for horror stories. They say that I can captivate every single one of them with ease. How can I prove this? What's in store for your eyes to behold? Well, I guess you'll have to find out... However, not everyone is so kind. Sometimes, when I say I like to write, people look at me funny. Why? Apparently people are racist. Yes, I'm Hispanic. More specifically, I'm Mexican. People look at me weird, saying they would expect me to be fiddling with a soccer ball all day. They ask me: "What the hell are you doing with a paper and a pen?". They look at me weird when they see that my report card is composed of mostly A's and hardly any B's. You can see how society is cruel. But I don't mind. I shrug it off. I won't let a common stereotype impede me from doing what I love. I love to write, and I hope I will be able to do this for the rest of my life, regardless of the fact that people say that I won't make it. I'm proud to say that I have a lot of material in the works, and I'm ecstatic to share it with all of you. I really hope you like it! Angelo, signing off.
