“mother, you.. you look well.” the five words escaped the goddess of mischief’s lips in a whisper, as if saying it any louder would break her in half. she knew her mother was strong, it was now simply a matter of her own guilt betraying her. she caused the woman before her harm, she deserved whatever punishment may come from it. “i forgot how often eir works wonders.”

It didn't take a whole lot to know there was guilt eating Loki inside. Frigga certainly didn't have to be a mind reader to see it written all over her face. "You blame yourself," she said simply as she watched her daughter take a seat. "You know you shouldn't. No one here blames you, Loki. No one, save for yourself. Do not let it consume you."

⠀⠀⠀ “i am aware how formidable of a woman you are, mother. it was not a dig at you.” loki had never felt like more of a child than she had in this moment, the way she shrunk in on herself. her mother, who had loved her despite everything, did not hate her for what she had done. her lips purse for a moment with her gaze locked on the woman before her footsteps bring her closer, inch by inch, until she sat down. she would wait for frigga to speak, for she had no clue what to say.

The sound of the voice had Frigga looking up from what she was doing, a hint of a smile forming on her features when she caught sight of Loki. "My dear child, I am far stronger than you give me credit for. And you are correct about Eir. She is a marvellous healer. But come, sit. I feel like you and I have so much to discuss."
