Psoriasis is considered to be a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by rapid growth of the skin, such that it comes with thick scales and patches of red tissue, which can sometimes feel itchy and even painful. Among many existing types of psoriasis, perhaps the most severe is psoriatic arthritis-though not only affecting the skin, causes inflammation of joints, which may lead to acute pains and long-term structural joint damage if not treated with a permanent solution for psoriasis.
