( she wasn’t wrong. the list had made salem look like a tomato, her nose being the reddest part of it all. she was sure that if it was possible, steam would be blowing out of her ears by now with how much she was overheating. with a slight squeal, she covered her ears, knowing it would stop nothing. )    “ you— shush—. ”

            “ i mean look at you. so cute, so dainty. just makes me wanna scoop you up and give you the biggest hug known to man. you turn red at the smallest of compliments. “  ( listing off the things one by one she eventually just stopped and smiled.  oh she adored salem. )  “ everytime i see you. gotta compliment you. make you sizzle like a hot pepper. whew! i actually look forward to it some days. “

            “ no i won’t, ”    ( her lips curled downward slightly, a pout forming instantly. )    “ why can’t you help yourself.? and okay, ”   ( she gave a nod, putting the sucker in her mouth, trying to imitate her. to her relief, it tasted very nice. a soft hum left her lips in approval, her pout fizzing into a smile quickly. )

            “ well yes, it’s was a bit hard to forget. ”    ( she said in attempts to act normally, as one would when they aren’t flustered. it was difficult, sure, but she was managing. this girl was going to break her mind, and salem would gladly let her. )    “ that sounds like a nice idea, i like it. i don’t think i’ve had any with milk before. ”

            “ ohh you are absolutely the best. you remembered that? “  ( how could she forget though? she made her blush redder than a tomato. hard to forget that. griff was just happy that salem remembered something she liked. )  “ i do like mint too. wish they had mint double stuffed. now that would be good. we should go get some and try them with some milk. i always dunk mine in milk. just seems wrong not to. “

            ( salem floundered for words for a few moments, before clearing her throat. oh god. could she not get through a single conversation without blushing.? )    “ mostly reading. and uh— i know you said you like the more stuffy ones, but the thin mint ones seem interesting .. ? ”

            ( dumbly, the girl simply blinked and nodded. )   “ yeah— yeah, you’re welcome. that sounds like a very fun idea, i would like it very much. uh— see you next time.? ”    ( she was embarrassed at how easily flustered she was, and how she couldn’t seem to stop blushing. she cursed mentally at the name she’d been called by her. )

            ( griff snickered softly. she could keep teasing her all day if she really wanted to. but she wasn’t going to be mean to salem. besides, she had to be going soon. )  “ thank you for the oreos. they were yummy. next time we can get other flavors and try them! how fun would that be? well, pretty girl, i have to be going. business things to do.”
