One day, while I was cleaning the bookshelf in my room, I discovered a thrilling saga by my four-year-old self entitled 'Sammy and his Umbrella'. This sweeping epic told the gripping tale of Sammy, a young boy who wanted to play in the rain puddles outside one day, and in a cruel twist of fate, forgot his umbrella. (Spoiler alert: he gets wet.)
Despite the fact that—like the story of Sammy and his poor, neglected umbrella—many of my stories are put on what I like to call 'permanent hiatus', the urge to write is still going strong, although all umbrellas have fortunately been replaced with a cast of unique characters destined to squabble and banter with each other until, eventually, falling head-over-heels in love.
