Hi my loves. It’s Valentine’s Day.
And fun fact before we get emotional: it’s not just a holiday I love, it’s one Alli loves too (you’ll catch that little detail in book two). Consider it a tiny, harmless author cameo.
I know this day hits everyone differently. Some people adore it. Some people think it’s a corporate, pink-washed money grab. Both takes are valid.
Me? I love it. Just not for the usual reasons.
I’ve lost two people on this day, so Valentine’s Day has always been a little bittersweet for me. It’s a day of reflection and remembrance—not just for the people I lost on this date, but for everyone I’ve loved and lost along the way. It’s also a reminder to pause and appreciate the people I still have.
At the end of the day, who cares if it’s a Hallmark holiday. If there’s even the smallest excuse to love people louder, take it. Hug your people tighter. Say “I love you” more than necessary. You never regret loving too much—only the times you didn’t say it.
I know I’d give anything to say it one more time.
And truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the constant love and support you’ve shown me and these books. The fact that we’re on book four is absolutely unreal to me. None of this exists without you—your messages, your patience, your excitement, your trust in these stories and these characters. You show up every time, and lately that’s meant more to me than I can put into words. I’ve been going through it, and knowing I have this community behind me has been grounding in the best way.
I love you all so much.
Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️
