Hi my loves. Itās Valentineās Day.
And fun fact before we get emotional: itās not just a holiday I love, itās one Alli loves too (youāll catch that little detail in book two). Consider it a tiny, harmless author cameo.
I know this day hits everyone differently. Some people adore it. Some people think itās a corporate, pink-washed money grab. Both takes are valid.
Me? I love it. Just not for the usual reasons.
Iāve lost two people on this day, so Valentineās Day has always been a little bittersweet for me. Itās a day of reflection and remembranceānot just for the people I lost on this date, but for everyone Iāve loved and lost along the way. Itās also a reminder to pause and appreciate the people I still have.
At the end of the day, who cares if itās a Hallmark holiday. If thereās even the smallest excuse to love people louder, take it. Hug your people tighter. Say āI love youā more than necessary. You never regret loving too muchāonly the times you didnāt say it.
I know Iād give anything to say it one more time.
And truly, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for the constant love and support youāve shown me and these books. The fact that weāre on book four is absolutely unreal to me. None of this exists without youāyour messages, your patience, your excitement, your trust in these stories and these characters. You show up every time, and lately thatās meant more to me than I can put into words. Iāve been going through it, and knowing I have this community behind me has been grounding in the best way.
I love you all so much.
