Sadly, I don’t see enough red on Friday’s. Not the bad kind of red as in “I am seeing red today,” but rather a good red. A red to remind us, and to show support, to those who are sacrificing themselves for our freedom. Many have asked what Red Friday’s is all about and it all can be summed up in the name itself:
Remember Everyone Deployed
It’s just that easy and the easiest way for everyone who appreciates our men and women who are deployed fighting everyday for you and I. It’s easy to forget that American’s have been dying for over 10 years now. The sad fact is that the kids who lives in these war torn countries known nothing else and play in the streets because it’s just “stuff that happens everyday.”
Let’s be thankful our kids don’t have to grow up like that and let’s be thankful for those who are deployed overseas by showing our support and wear a red shirt, dress, blazer or hairdo each and every Friday! I am of the belief that it’s the least we can do and to remember that there is still a war going on with our Men and Women still being killed on a weekly basis.
