I almost gave up but the first draft is complete :’)
          
          I’m still learning to discipline myself because I’m so used to writing a chapter, posting, and getting immediate feedback. But the fact that I have an entire book drafted already is milestone for me. 
          
          On to the edits and beyond! 

We gotta talk.
          
          So… It’s May. It’s been a year now since I posted and boy-oh-boy, what a year it’s been. I’m in a creative space right now that I feared I’d never reach :’)

          The shorter version: I’m on path now to becoming a published author :)
          
          Wattpad has been beyond good for me but it’s time for me to expand into new territory. I’ve been holding off on saying anything for months now because I wasn’t sure if I was just hyping myself up, but at this point, dollars and much time has been spent and my manuscript is almost ready for the editor. It’s finally happeninggg.
          
          Unfortunately, I’m not sure if/when I’ll be able to update anything on here again. Outside of writing, I still have a career that I love and will hold onto. Therefore, my time is as limited as it’s always been. Originally, I did think to just create a new Wattpad page to post my new work but I realized that wouldn’t suffice. I want to hold my book in my hands. I wanna sign it and hand it to my momma. I want an ISBN. And I want my own website, not just a profile on someone else’s. This orange app can’t give me all of that but I’ll forever be grateful for what it has provided me and I’m so thankful it was able to serve as a crucial and longstanding part of my writing journey. It’s just time for a new chapter :’)
          
          Sorry if this upsets some. I know ya’ll are waiting on Letty and Aívy’s stories to continue. As most writers will tell you, our stories go on forever, way beyond the words on the last page. I can always post something to reveal what was to come—or not. We’ll see : )
