just finished all of fontaine’s world quests today, it’s crazy to think that 500 or more years ago Focalor’s witnessed Egeria being imprisoned underneath the primordial sea by the heavenly principles and watching fontaine be governed by King Remus. Probably when Egeria got released from her prison, Her and Focalors grew rather close, Egeria knew what Focalors was capable of and knew she would inherit the Hydro Throne because she was Egeria’s familiar and most smartest candidate. Focalors probably already thought of a solution against the prophecy before because the moment Egeria died, her plan was already in motion (she invited nuevilette 500 years ago to become the Iudex which was the time Egeria also died) crazy right, she spent a few years into the ocean to find a solution and directly acted for it.

It’s sad that both Furina and Focalors suffered because of Fontaine’s prophecy, just in different ways. I often see people blaming Focalors for Furina’s 500 years of suffering, but Focalors suffered as well. She inherited a crisis she didn’t create and had to carry the responsibility of saving an entire nation.

I don’t think Egeria deserves all the blame either. The true root of Fontaine’s tragedy was the Heavenly Principles, whose punishment fell on innocent people. Egeria made a grave mistake by creating human life without the authority to do so, which led to Fontaine’s “original sin” and the prophecy. However, she also entrusted Fontaine to someone she believed could solve the impossible.

Focalors’ greatest strength was her strategic genius. While Egeria was wise herself and compassionate, Focalors was the one who devised a plan capable of deceiving the Heavenly Principles and saving Fontaine’s people. I like to think she may have wondered, “Why do I have to be the one to suffer?” But she chose to accept it because she believed her people’s lives mattered more than her own. She even expressed her desire to judge the Heavenly Principles for their own doings during the Archon Quest.

To me, that’s what makes Focalors one of the smartest characters in Genshin. If the prophecy was like a puzzle, then Egeria was the one who scattered the pieces, while Focalors was the one who figured out how to put them back together and achieve the only ending where Fontaine could be saved.

Thank you for sharing your amazing thoughts!! You put together exactly the same opinion I have.

While Furina played her role in the plan and selflessly suffered a great deal from it, some people often overlook Focalors’s part. In one of her voicelines when talking to Neuvi, she herself mentioned something about Furina not being the only one who suffered.

Had it not been for Egeria choosing Focalors as a successor, Focalors devising the plan, and Furina acting her part- Fontaine might’ve been doomed. One could not have accomplished the plan without the other. It’s like only recognizing the main actor without acknowledging those who worked backstage.

I do plan on slowly exploring this topic more in the future TWST book chapters^^

Hello creator! :D I wanted to ask if it's possible to do a Spanish translation of your story "JUSTICE in TWISTED." I've used a translator to read it, but I want other Spanish speakers to be able to read your beautiful story too. Of course, it's just a question, and I just wanted to know if it was possible.

I'm using a translator to write all this, so please excuse me if I make a mistake with some words.

          I LOVE YOUR STORY!

Tsuk4sa_Yugi

Of course, it would be sacrilege not to give credit to the person who made such a beautiful story

Hey author I have a question, are you planning to do interlude chapters like the masquerade or ghost bride for your focalor x Twisted Wonderland book or just the main story?

c3Lest_-

Yes, I have plans to do the TWST events in the future! Maybe after I finish the main story, I’ll create a separate book that focuses on the events:)

NEW THEORY:

Since Focalors previously died in Teyvat, she is currently in her weakened state because twisted wonderland is still adjusting to her sudden existence and because of that, it hinders her from achieving her full potential. Which, her connection with the seven (twst) is deeper than anyone else’s because what if… with each interaction Focalors has with the seven. A bit of her divine power is restored (without her or the seven realizing it). When she finally has regained her power, she can actually have the power to JUDGE the seven or anyone. I’m feeding myself unto your story too much lolol

lionphisch

I wouldn’t even be surprised if she created another oratrice mecanique d'analyse cardinale in twisted wonderland
