            born  jacob  neil  hargrove,  he's  the  youngest  of  the  hargrove  children.  a  year  younger  than  billy.  placing  him at  16  as  of  season  2.  he's  a  relatively  calm,  and  docile  person  but  once  he  warms  up  to someone  he  becomes  the  biggest  chatterbox  of  the  year.    despite  his  apparent  shyness,  he   is  a social  butterfly  and often  tags  along  with  billy  to  parties  but  ditches  him  as  soon as  they  get  there  because  he  does   NOT  want  to  be  associated  with  his  brother. 

living  in  the  shadows  of  billy  hargrove  was  never  easy.   where  billy   was  loud.  jacob  was  quiet.  where  billy  was  aggressive.  jacob  was  as  calm  as  the  eye  of a  storm.  a  laid back   cali  boy  who  was  stripped  from  his  home,  forced  to  uproot  his  livelihood  and  move  to  hawkins.   it  sucked.   he  missed  the  beach.  the  sun,  and  the  sand.  the  curls  the  waves  gave  his hair  and  the  warmth  of  his  skin  when  he  spent  too  long  out  there.  he  missed  it  all.  but  hawkins  wasn't  all  that  bad.   hawkins  brought  new  opportunities.  which  was  all  jacob  wanted.  new  family,  new  area.  the  perfect  chance  to  start  over.
