I realize I haven’t been active on this platform in forever so I don’t even know if I have active readers anymore but I am someone who writes and supports the representation of marginalized communities so I wanted to just say and I cannot stress this enough BLACK LIVES MATTER.

To any black and Afro-latinx readers, I want to say that I hear you, I see you, I love you, I mourn with you, and I fight for you. I hope you are all taking care of yourselves emotionally the best you can during such a frustrating and traumatizing time and staying safe.

To any white and non-black PoC readers, especially Latinx readers since my writing does focus on Latinx characters, do not stay silent!!!! Silence and apathy feds into systems of anti blackness and oppression and we cannot turn our heads and ignore this any longer. Yes, we experience problems but we do not experience fear for our lives based on the color of our skin!!! That is a privilege even non-black PoCs have. We need to dismantle the anti-blackness within our Latinx community. We need to call our family members and relatives that make anti-black comments. We need to show up for our black community, move beyond the internet to show grief and outrage and take action.

There are so many resources out there. Do not expect your black friends to educate you. We all need to step up for our black community. Enough is enough.

chicaaaaaa, how you been? I feel like I haven't talked to you in forever!

@foreverandinfinity omg I know I'm never on here anymore :( Ugh taking a summer class is basically cramming a regular semester worth of readings, studying, projects, and exams into two months instead of six. It's so intense. My friends warned me but I had no idea. Then I got all this stressful stuff with my fam going on, so I never have free time. Ugh, anyways, how are you?
