Psychology grad student and aspiring writer. Some of my work will be literary analysis, a bit of long-form book style writing, and a lot of short stories. In the last of those, I typically try to convey a nice "East-of-the-Mississipi, '98 truck in the yard, bales of hay, rundown highway exit truckstop, born raised and dying in one place, economic downturn, small city/big town, rain-when-I-die, 'things are a lot weirder than they seem,' southern-gothic-revival" sort of vibe. All that to say I have a fascination with attempting to depict the beauty and torture in the mundanity of semi-rural "average" life during the death of a global economic hegemon through written word.
