Fancy a fantasy, ACTUAL slow burn enemies to lovers, six of crows-esque, morally grey, angst read? Look no further, I have posted the first three chapters of a book: Moon Chasers! Would love so much for you to check it out if this seems like your kind of thing!

A list of books I’ve read so far this year and my ratings:

The Mars room 4/5 - sickening, horrifying, gritty and so intelligent. Difficult to read (topics and structure) and I’d say you have to really find an interest in it, definitely not for everyone.

Piranesi 4/5 - LOVED the main character, found myself more invested in the character and setting than plot but loved it and would read again.

If we were villains 5/5 - yeah, so good. Clever, sad, made for Shakespeare/ Jacobean fans. If you’ve read/ want to read ‘The Secret History’ by Donna Tartt and liked it or struggled to read but liked the idea of it, this is the book for you. Easier to read and heartbreaking.

The silence of the girls 5/5 - The Iliad from Briseis’ point of view. So good, using it for my English Lit NEA coursework (A-Levels). Joins the trend of a woman’s pov of Ancient Greek stories and myths. The ending was quite thought provoking for me- gave me a whole new perspective of ‘The Song of Achilles’ (don’t get me started I could blab all day about it- the good and the bad).

I love it when people are passionate about something. Their pure fixation on that thing. The way they burst at the seams to talk about it. Like my dad when he talks about golf or my mum when she tells us about the new foreign drama she’s watching. It’s just so refreshing and cute.

Humans are so sweet. I’m so grateful to have passions and people to blab about them to.

If anyone wants to geek about their hobbies please do I love hearing about them- might even take one up lol.
