Hiiii!

          I've a request.

I actually just finished venting about this trope in my rant book, but I want to read your perspective.

Trope follows this pattern:- One of the leads who is an adult is regressed to mental capacity of 5 year old after a traumatic incident.

In this stories parents decide to force marry their child which is the main plot of the story.

Most problematic part is that they show romance or intimate scenes between them.

Also, in the end the lead is magically cured for the "happily ever after".

          This is literally p3do behaviour.

I'm disappointed that even in 2026 such stories are being written and read by people.

I've read every episode of your rant book and I don't think you have covered this topic.

Also, your readers and my readers are not the same so I want max people to be aware about this problematic trope.

Hey mira, found you somehow. Can you please checkout my stories on @augustsanity for romcom chaos and drama (no exaggerated nonsense).
Short reads, epistolary, feel good, just pure bliss comedy, friendship as core, emotionally mature drama, romance cliché obviously.
Lots of love and happiness to you!✨️

Can I make a request?
I would really love for you to post reviews on stories that are set in the 1970s, 1980s, and even the 1990s.
These stories are becoming very popular, but I don’t think they’re being handled well—by either writers or readers. Yes, a lot of horrible things existed during that time: child abuse, domestic violence, marital rape, non-consensual sex. Most of it wasn’t even recognised or taken seriously. Marital rape wasn’t acknowledged, consent wasn’t a concept people cared about, and marriage itself was treated like permanent consent.
I understand wanting to show that reality. What I don’t understand is why it then needs to be justified.
What I keep seeing is a male lead who knowingly abuses his wife and is later redeemed simply because he feels guilty or apologises. As if that guilt makes him admirable or forgivable.
And when readers point out how disturbing this is, the response is always the same:
“Keep in mind it’s set in the 1970s.”
“That’s how things were back then.”
“Don’t read it with a feminist lens.”
          But… why not?
The story may be set in the past, but I’m reading it in 2026. I don’t understand why I’m expected to throw my feminism out the window just to make a male character look better. A historical setting can explain behaviour, but it doesn’t excuse it. And feeling guilty after causing harm doesn’t undo the harm.
I’m not asking for history to be rewritten or sugar-coated. I’m asking for violence to be shown without being softened, defended, or romanticised—no matter which decade the story is set in.

What would you do if tomorrow was Earth’s last day?

Me? I’d probably panic, make chai, and try to write one last poem before the world burns.

But you know what Siya would do?

She’d walk straight into the chaos with a playlist in her ears, love letters in her pockets, and secrets she never told anyone.

✨ Find out what happens in my latest book, LAST DAY. It’s messy, it’s real, and it might just break your heart in the best way.

Read it now on Wattpad. Let me know if you would stay, run, or say “I love you” before the end.

Drop a ❤️ if you’re reading, and let’s talk about what you would do on your last day. I’ll be waiting in the comments.
