i’m seeing a lot of discourse about people taking down their beynika books and although i don’t write for beynika.. i almost did, “DESERT EAGLE” and my old book as some of you may know, “CHURCH GIRL” were both supposed to be beynika books.
and i decided not to make them to fit in that fandom/trope because of the way nicki was acting at that point—this was months ago. and her behavior has sadly gotten worse. however i still love my queen; i still listen to her music on the regular and i’ve decided i just have to separate the art from the artist.
but. i’m seeing lots of people condemning authors for taking down their beynika books and not writing for beynika anymore and saying they’re too in-tuned in celebrities lives; that they should mind their business and just continue with the fantasy. while that’s true; beynika is a fantasy. but it’s about having MORALS, DIGNITY & PRINCIPLES. some people do not want to write about some who’s literally endorsing a man who’s very cruel.
whether it’s fantasy or not; sometimes you have to stand up for what you believe in.
