Hi! Welcome to the marvelous land of MY PROFILE! I think before we continue, we need to define a very important word:
writ·ing
\ˈrī-tiŋ\
noun
1. the act or practice of literary or musical composition
2. something written, especially meaningful letters or characters that constitute readable matter
3. the process of using symbols (letters of
the alphabet, punctuation and spaces) to communicate thoughts and ideas
4. magic
The word you have just encountered can have a huge diversity of meanings, as you discovered above. I personally affiliate myself with definition number four. For me, writing has always been this MAGICAL process where you take the enormity of the ideas in your brain and put them into these peculiar sets of symbols we call "words" and use them drive people to laughter or tears
~~~
I also affiliate myself with...
-- Reading - mystery, adventure, historical fiction, non-fiction, just anything with two covers and pages in between them with words
-- Drawing - ah yes, sitting at a park on a breezy summer afternoon with my sketch pad and pencil, savoring the delicate textures of the almost palpable clouds above me and the cool, comforting grass beneath my bare feet by granting them a place in my drawing
-- Nature - the regal majesty of a galloping horse, the ultimate love a dog has for his master, the elegance of a sequoia tree, the vibrant hues of a parrot's wings, the fragile beauty of a newly blossomed lily
-- People - the laughter of a innocent child; the knowing smile of a old woman; the cry of a young girl who lost a loved one; the unsettling feeling you can't put words to of knowing that you did all you could, but it wasn't enough
~~~
Feel free to stay a while, these doors are always welcoming. I appreciate all feedback on my work, positive AND negative. Enjoy, and may you always encounter good fortune!
