The last time I cried, I mean really cried, was while watching an HBO documentary about Warren Buffett. I was living alone at the time, and pursuing a hobby of watching one new film every day. And I was making such good progress I decided to break things up by watching a documentary. "Perhaps I'll gain some insight into the secret of extreme wealth" I thought. But by forty minutes in I was weeping uncontrollably.
The thing is, it wasn't even sad. It was just a nice man who drove American-made, ate daily at McDonald's, and isn't giving a cent to his children. I guess I found all that touching, or I was feeling especially vulnerable that day. Real life has that effect on me.
