(This is part of an essay I wrote in English that describes my love for writing)
Until I was twelve years old I was an only child so I had a great imagination. Everyday I would play with my Barbies and give them all different lives. When I outgrew my toys I had so many different scenarios bottled up in my head and my imagination was overflowing. 
When I was in the third grade I wrote my first story which was never finished. I like to think I never finished it because I realized how dumb it was but I think the real reason was that I was afraid my peers might make fun of me. I didnt write anything else until the sixth grade when there was no more time for toys to use the things pouring out of my imagination. It was much better than my first one but it was still not as good as I had hoped. I never let anyone read it because I knew that they would judge it and I didnt want them to think I was weird for writing without being forced to. 
Moving into junior High I was becoming more confident in myself. In 7th grade I started writing Less Than Perfection, and in 9th grade I started Gifted. When I sit down to write I wonder what people will think of it is it emotional or visual enough? Diamond form the Dust and Unconditional Love were both from a school project.
My self confidence has grown and I have stopped caring so much about what other people think. If I dont write I get really lonely because I have built a bond with the story. I try to give everything I write personality and make the reader feel something. I hope that one day I can impact someone's life with my words.
