@daves_wheelchair ah yes, in every popular fandom, there has to be SOME person who does the chingi changa to minors
In my opinion, proshippers have no remorse for any of the content they actually put out on the Internet. Let me explain: They always seem to excuse their content as "it's my coping mechanism" or "it's just fiction" instead of feeling any shame for what they post. Even if it is fiction, it still has an effect on the people who view this content. People will think that since this stuff is so glorified, that it's okay to do them. That or another example; People who experienced trauma of said content will go into a mental breakdown and they will harm themselves to calm down. Even when the creators of the characters feel uncomfortable with their characters being used in such a way, proshippers will still continue to make content of it because they don't care how the creator feels, only about how they feel and how creating such content benefits them. The lack of regret for their choices make them disgustingly shameless. It's better for proshippers to either seek help or if they can't, to keep that stuff to themselves instead of putting it out there for everyone to see. Thank you for reading.
@no1roleplayer As much as I'd like to agree with your statement, sometimes there are proshippers who don't even tag properly. I once read a proship fic that wasn't tagged as dead dove (which is a tag that proshippers usually use) and ended up reacting to it in a... negative way. I won't go into detail about what I did to calm myself. But my point is, most proshippers don't even add a warning or even use the main tag(s), forcing other people to see content they don't want to see.
@daves_wheelchair I do agree with your statement, it's a reasonable opinion! From experience, proshippers create tags to seperate their art from the main media so that people don't HAVE to see their content(specifically dark ship content)and in most cases people come into proship spaces to harrass them or are like "omg what I saw was so traumatizing!!" When they either searched up the tag or it just popped up on their fyp/tl, and in such case people can just block and not interact so it doesn't affect them to the point of sh
