Phil Lester has been the school's bad boy since before Dan Howell can remember. He'd been ripped jeans, statement tees, eye makeup, and leather jackets since he moved to Manchester in sixth grade.
Dan wasn't exactly your token straight friend. Millions of flannels, fringe checks, and existential crises after cute boy Phil moved to town, he finally worked up the courage to talk to him.
And then the secret slipped. Something about the dark-haired boy's sexuality slips dropping his friend count to zero.
Except for Dan, the one Phil wanted around the least.
