hiii so for beginning writing I would wanna start by saying i’ve been writing since i was a kid and i’ve always loved making stories to the point where ideas come to me by accident and i have to write them down immediately, which is why taking note of every idea you get is so important because inspiration disappears fast if you don’t respect it iygm like having a wide imagination matters but if you don’t feel like yours is strong you can train it by pushing yourself to think outside the box and exploring different outcomes and consequences instead of choosing the most obvious path, because no one realistically wants to read the same storyline over and over again with different character names, and the most successful fanfics keep familiar elements while still surprising the reader in ways they didn’t expect andyour characters should have desirable traits but also flaws and insecurities, because perfect characters are boring and depth is what makes readers emotionally attach, and that emotional connection matters more than plot twists alone since people remember how a fic made them feel, not just what happened ykkk and like reading as much as you can, both fanfic and books naturally improves your vocabulary and pacing even when it doesn’t feel like it and a truly good fic should be more than just romance it should have conflict and emotional payoff, with every scene serving a purpose so treat your fic like a real book, respect your readers intelligence hmmmmm layer your ideas and commit fully to the story instead of playing it safe!!!!
