' earth in my lungs, '

the trees whisper to him. they beckon, COME, so he came. he disappears, but he is there. they worship him, whisper names that aren't quite his, their tongues strange and stupid in fear & awe. he had choked on earth, now he breathes it so effortlessly. they call him a god; humans & trees alike.

' petals in my tears. '
