There's nothing better to entice the imagination than to hallucinate to the tune of a thousand words.

Scientist / Hobby Writer / Artist / Gamer

Stories are the manifestation of the soul...Jeez. My soul must be busy. My storage banks are oozing ideas-from sci-fi to fantasy - so to keep the myriad from frying my circuits, writing has become my outlet. I find sci-fi to be particularly poignant for short stories and social commentaries, with their not-too-distant worlds relatable as we collectively forge ahead into an unknown future. On the other hand, I find fantasy exceptionally suitable to long-form writing, with their wondrous weaves of magic intimately woven into the fabric of their worlds and societies. To harness the distraction of my many story ideas, rather than let them slip through the sieve of my mind, I will be posting short stories as I finish up some long-form projects.

When not writing in my spare time, I'm mostly creating wood burnings, as in my background banner, or gaming when time allows it. If you are interested, you can find more of my pyrography pieces at the website link on my profile.

Life is happening, that's for sure. So, this week I'm posting a little sci-fi short story that I have been polishing up for a while instead of my main story to keep things rolling!
