Tell me why I shouldn't, tell me why to care. I'm too young and immature, too foolish and free to stop and think of what comes next. I'm to caught up in my world, to careless to realize my mistakes. But, I don't care. I don't care that Mama cries when she looks at me, that Dad's gotten more gray hairs. I won't listen to the whispers, comparing me to my peers. Never mind all that, who cares what they all think! I'll keep running down this road, the road I want to lead, I'll keep chasing these crazy dreams, the ones no one will believe. Even if it kills me, I won't ever look back, never. I won't ever meet the gazes of those who abhor me ever. Even if I'm to walk alone, even if my goals are to falter, I won't hesitate, I won't look back. I'll live with no regrets, forever. I'll shoulder the burdens, brought upon myself, bandage the wounds my clumsiness delivered. This yearning I feel, this empty longing in my heart, is not something I can easily heal. Even if Mama doesn't see it yet, even if Dad shakes his head, I know I'll make it. I'm to wild and to carefree, to immature and imprudent to think of what's ahead. But who cares? One day I'll make it, of this I'm sure. I know my limits, I know my ambitions. And I know, that one day you're gonna see me up there, lightin' up the show.
