/ AWOOGA ? HELLO
A new day and a new person to train. Honestly, he didn't mind it. He liked seeing the different responses people gave. Some were so fascinated while others felt disturbed or even sick from it. The man with long white hair stood at the reception desk, going over some papers for the day. The man was Russian. Having moved there for the better money. So, a student that rather came out of nowhere wasn't such a strange thing to him. Less papers to deal with as well. Hearing the door swing open he glanced up with a slight smile. "Welcome! You ready to get to it then? We have a pack of clothes to change into by the locars. Down the hall, second door on your left. Just to keep your own clothes clean."
"No worries. We have some for you from previous interns. Not as big, but it'll get the job done." He had a good few cadavers for the help today. Best to get started sooner rather than later. "You can just call me Victor as well. Easier to get comfortable when there is less formalities. I'll wait in the embalming room for you. At the very end of the hall. Might as well start you off with the basics." His Russian accent was rather thick. At least his English was good enough to make up for it. He would also change. Tie up his hair and get the scrubs on. "Oh, by the door is the alcohol. Please make sure you sanitize properly. It's for your own health." Plus, they didn't need DNA contamination.
@M0RTlClAN ▍ Usually, dragons and humans stayed separated. But as the forests grew smaller, and humans multiplied in numbers; There was no choice but to try and find work in a city. The dragon refused to let his kind die out so easily without trying to assimilate. "Ah yes. Although, your clothes might be too small for me, Boss." He was tall, much taller than the average human. 7'2 wasn't the tallest in the world, but definitely large enough to not fit on most standard sizes of scrubs and uniforms. "Just call me Atlas by the way." Having no apartment and living off of wild life made it easier to save up for things that humans normally might not. Being a skilled hunter also helped with being desensitized to blood and carcasses, which made him practically a perfect person to train.

you know, the strangest thing happened the other day. i was tidying up my cave, and underneath a pile of snow, i found the most stunning ruby. almost as if someone left it there. what do you think of that, hm?
what's sad is that not every human has the ability to tell which ones are real and fake. foolish creatures don't even know they're being tricked. 〈 a huff of annoyed, cold air left torao's lips. 〉 they don't .. taste good. hardly any meat on them, either. i'd have to be desperate to eat one of them.
@glcrfangs ▍ they even have the audacity to sell those fake things to other humans. shameful. ( he quietly took note of that and knew exactly what he would do. first, he had to find the perfect citrine to gift to torao. ) bonesacks, good for nothing. and i can't even eat them, it would probably detrimental to my health.
really? it's a beautiful color. as is citrine, it's a very warm gem. 〈 torao hummed softly as he listened to atlas speak. 〉 that would be quite the find. humans are useful sometimes, it seems. 〈 at the mention of false gems, torao's nose scrunched up in disgust, it was so appalling. 〉 /glass/ jewels. i'll never understand how they could do such a thing. it's almost cruel.
ow── 〈 the sound was so soft it was almost inaudible, but it was easy to see torao pull back his hand as if it had been burned. 〉 sorry .. i didn't mean to touch you. do you naturally run that hot?
dragons certainly have the time to do that, yes. 〈 it wasn't difficult to put the puzzle pieces together. hot dragon has a tendency to accidentally burn others, but that was the key word there, accident. it would be much different if atlas hurt him on purpose, but he didn't, he even patched him up. 〉 i think inconvenient is the better word for that, pop rocks. 〈 they gave a reassuring smile, hoping to lighten the mood. 〉
@glcrfangs ▍ you pick up a thing or two. ( it didn't really mean much as it wasn't uncommon that visitors would often burn themselves. one of the reasons why he didn't want the company. ) it would be sadder if i wasn't. ( he chuckled, carefully observing torao. the ice dragon showed no signs of discomfort, odd. )
〈 it did, in fact, tingle a bit. but that sensation eased the dull throbbing of the burn, and cooled it at the same time. 〉 that feels much better, thank you. 〈 he examined the paste covering the injury before looking back at atlas. 〉 you made that rather quickly, i didn't know you were so adept in medicinal things.

⤷ plot #6. you would think someone so normal just got to remain normal. at least that was what he thought. now twenty-two with lavender locks, periwinkle hues, piercings, and a good height of five foot seven — he walked or more or less stumbled down the street after a few drinks, a lazily closed fist wiping the streaked red blood off his cheek from the fight he had just been in. 'fucking pricks...' his clothes were tattered, not really caring where he ended up that night as it wasn't like there was anything he had to look forward to. parents died young, moved from home to home before running away and living a life he wanted to live before ending up here.. nearly broke and just wandering around. he couldn't recall how many drinks he had taken nor necessarily how he was still standing, barely making it back to the place he called 'home', making it in and laying on the couch as his mind felt too fuzzy to do anything else. it was cold. no one gave a fuck about what would happen as he didn't know most people in general so if this was it.. than so be it. twenty-two was a good age, right? this honestly was expected so he couldn't be too mad. at least he wouldn't be missed.
@highrplace ⠀ꗃ⠀ the reaction wasn't supposed to be that obvious but everything was slightly overwhelming still. not that he wanted to stop, he already agreed and there was no point of going back on his word. what was there to do anyways? at least here he could do something and not be worried whenever his next meal would be or if he'd even make it back home that evening. there was just already too many pros rather than cons. theo nodded to the explanation given, glad he'd be working with more of like a 'mermaid' form ( in basic human terms ) before it registered in his head that /he/ would able to do that. was he a transformed soulmate already? was that the nagging ache on his neck? well — that was that then. there was a point where he thought he would freak out and have a panic attack but it would probably just hit later when he was trying to go to sleep. not a panic attack, more of a long thinking session. hearing the other talk about getting clean had his body aching and stomach growling, face flushing a bit, embarrassed. " could i .. could I maybe get cleaned up a bit .. ? " he questioned quietly, knowing he might have a bit of trouble standing and washing himself in general but he'd figure that out later if he actually could. hopefully get some food in him as well concerning he didn't remember the last time he ate.
@aphoristics there was cause for concern when they noticed the sudden spiral in mood from the other. did they rush things too much? even though they had a whole speech planned.. theodore still seemed a little offput by it all. he didn't have to do this. he could have assimilated into underwater life or even return to the human world if he wanted to. " well, merpeople have a form that suits the water more. some have fish tails, others are amphibious, with legs and more of a lizard's tail. the entire royal family is compromised of those with fish tails. we'll teach you how to morph into that form. usually transformed soulmates tend to match the form of the instigator. " it was a bit difficult to explain something that was practically instinct. like teaching a baby how to walk. shifting came naturally for those born with the ability, so it would be challenging to teach something like that. " we can start when you're ready. first, take the chance to rest, wash up, and maybe explore the castle if you'd like. " there was so much to explain and show theo, but vannir would hold back until the other felt prepared to accept that information. for now, the human could simply explore the castle or the seaside, find some hobbies to preoccupy himself between breaks. or maybe even grab a bite to eat. the possibilities were endless.
@highrplace @modelcore ⠀ꗃ⠀plsndjk this was a big decision but it wasn't like he had the heart to just deny someone this opportunity to help as entire fucking kingdom.. or deprive a person from their soulmate. if they were soulmates then ... it wouldn't hurt to try, right? no matter the circumstance, they should be able to find comfort in one another within time and it shouldn't be the worst experience ever. though he couldn't stop how his eyes looked down and seemed to lock onto how the other's hands held his own, heart racing in his chest. theo was listening, he truly was, but he couldn't ignore how soft vannir's hand seemed to be or how warm it was, breathing going a little shaky as he failed to recall the last time someone had even touched any part of him that gently, a little bit of water coming to his eyes. he managed a few nods to show he was listening, keeping track of the things he'd had to learn and get used to. eventually he was able to tear his eyes away, allowing the other to keep his hand ( which he seemed to tighten a bit for a moment ) while the free one went to wipe his eyes. " okay .. that's understandable. what does.. what does shifting mean? everything else is kind of self-explanatory. do we start right now or today? " this didn't seem so scary if he truly thought about it. well — not as much as the first part learning he was kidnapped but he had a chance. a chance to start over and do something new, something worthwhile. even if it was totally different than what he had grown used to.
