HELLO EVERYBODY!!! ❤
I hope you're all doing well and staying safe out there! Chapter 15 is kicking my butt rn, but I'm almost done. I'll post it within the week, but here's a preview; please enjoy!
Wakatoshi learned that one of the fastest ways to catch Yua's attention was through food. He was currently being dragged to the ice cream stand across the street. His date had a ferocious look in her eyes; nothing was coming between her and two scoops of ice cream. Throughout dinner, Yua's face scrunched with pure delight after every other bite of sashimi. She danced a little too, which he found particularly endearing.
However, he didn't recall Yua doing either action when they ate out last Saturday, but then again, she was still on edge from running into Shirai-san. Thankfully, her ex was nowhere to be seen when they returned to their table. She quickly busied herself with ensuring that the team were taken care of. Wakatoshi kept a close eye on her throughout the rest of lunch, but she was back to normal, a bright ball of unstoppable energy.
After making it safely across the street, they got in line for the popular ice cream stand. Wakatoshi was thrilled Yua didn't let go of his hand. His response was automatic when he lifted their hands and kissed her knuckles tenderly. His heart rattled against his ribs when she giggled and snuggled against his shoulder. A quick peek confirmed his suspicions; a soft pink bloomed across her cheeks. He wondered if he would ever figure out how many freckles occupied her lovely face.

Now, Wakatoshi wasn't a man who backed down from a challenge. But he felt his knees buckle slightly when he saw Yua step out of the M2. Even with the duster coat on, he could tell she was dressed impeccably. Maybe it was the way the streetlight seemed to crown her elegant updo. Or maybe it was the unmistakable yearning in her expressive eyes. As he walked toward her, he couldn't shake the feeling that he was somehow walking toward his future.
