lmao does anyone know how I can get my stories to gain more traction?? I just love them so much, and I wish more people were exposed to them *watering eyes emoji*

@egyptmichele There is no sure way. Frequent updates help boost the algorithm, but you don't have those with short stories. You could submit them to some reading lists of the Ambassador profiles. You could look for people who do read for reads. There's also a Discord server with a lot of online authors, but I can't personally invite you, so I'd have to look for an author with a recent link. Otherwise, you can only be patient.

Finding Heaven is #1 in TRANSLIVESMATTER!

This is very thrilling and redeeming given that we’re in a time where trans voices, especially black trans voices, are being silenced. I’m so happy with how well received that story has been.

For more opportunities to uplift Black Trans folk, defund the police, and put an end to black genocide, here are some resources:

Donate to help rent a living space for Black Trans People including myself:

          https://swopbehindbars.giv.sh/b9d2

          Defund the Police:

          https://www.defendingblacklives.org/defund-police-sign-on/

Donate to Trans Justice Funding Project:

For more resources checkout this very comprehensive spreadsheet:

And, please please please watch Pose on Netflix and Disclosure (on Netflix this Friday)! These narratives give a platform for trans people of color to be humanized and represented in a very beautiful way.

          Thank you X

@ egyptmichele Of course. If there's one thing literature and other arts can do, it is creating empathy and understanding.
Thanks for the follow, by the way. ❤

Thank you recognizing the significance of these stories being told! I appreciate more than you know. The rest of the world needs to share this perspective, and we can only do it one ally at a time. X

@egyptmichele You honestly deserve so much more reads/attention, but I think your work is too "literary" for Wattpad. You tackle topics that are too often left alone. I read "Got to be real" a few days ago and I love your portrayal of the Aids crisis. Too many (young) LGBT+ people have forgotten about that part of our history and I had a little extra appreciation because I just happen to have done research about Aids for a story of my own.
I am neither black nor trans, but I do plan to further educate myself (and see if I can donate) after my exams because I always want to understand.
