First, thank you to all the genuine readers and supporters of this work. Every comment, every vote, every message meant more to me than I can fully put into words.
          
          After a great deal of thought, I have decided that I will no longer be posting new chapters on Wattpad. This platform has let writers down time and time again, and I no longer feel comfortable sharing my work here. I may remove my stories completely after some time.
          
          I also want to address the plagiarism directly. Some people lack the empathy to understand that behind every story is a real person who stayed up late building it. I was not making money from this. I was not guarding a paycheck. I was sharing something for free. Which makes it feel less like theft of profit and more like theft of effort, time, and heart.
          
          When someone copies unpaid creative work, it hits like this:
          “I gave this freely… and you still took it wrong.”
          
          It’s not about money.
          It’s about respect.
          
          I spent hours thinking, drafting, editing, doubting, and rewriting. That labor does not become worthless just because it wasn’t monetized. Free art is still art. Volunteer effort is still effort. Passion work is still work. Some people treat “free” as “ownerless.” That is where the problem lies.
          
          Writing was my break from daily life and studies. It was a form of meditation, not something meant to cause more stress and heartache.
          
          If and when I decide to repost any of my stories or chapters, they will be published only on Quotev. For those who wish to continue following this story, I kindly request that you do so there.
          
          Thank you again for all the love, compliments, and support you’ve given me until now. This is my farewell to the Wattpad writing community, and a closing of this chapter for me. Who knows how many writers have had their hardwork stolen and posted on this platform specifically.

To the people plagiarizing my fanfiction and reposting it in Spanish word for word:
          
          I spent years drafting, rewriting, editing, and pouring my time and energy into these stories. Every scene, every line, every detail was built with care. Seeing someone copy it without permission and publish it as their own is not flattering. It is theft.
          If you are not willing to put in the work, the sleepless nights, the self doubt, and the countless revisions, then do not take the result of someone else’s effort. Translation does not make it yours. Changing the language does not erase the fact that it was written by me.
          It would have been better for these stories to stay in my drafts than to be stolen and reposted without consent.
          Because of things like this, I and many of my friends have stopped sharing our writing before. It is exhausting to create in a space where people think copying is easier than creating. I hoped things would change. Clearly, they have not.
          I was in the middle of editing my next chapter when I got this news. Do you understand how gutting that feels? To be working on something you love, refining it, trying to make it better for readers, only to find out someone else has already copied what you bled onto the page.
          It is so fucking frustrating to see people choose pettiness over passion. Instead of writing their own fanfic to celebrate the fandom, they steal from someone who did. Fandom is built on love for the source material and creativity. Not copy paste.
          
          

Hi author! First of all, I love your story One mental breakdown later, it's amazing and I've been following it since the beginning. And second, I'm sorry if my English is bad, it's not my first language. What I want to say is that a few days ago I found a story in Spanish that's exactly the same word for word as One mental breakdown later, only a few minor things like age and name are different. I don't know if she asked permission to translate it or something, but she makes it look like it's completely hers. Anyway, I just wanted to let you know. Kisses

Thank you for screaming internally over cliffhangers, for forgiving me (temporarily) when I hurt your favorite character “just a little,” and for coming back anyway like, surely it won’t happen again.           This year, may your coffee be strong, your Wi-Fi stronger, and your favorite characters remain alive for at least five consecutive chapters. 
          Thank you for staying. Thank you for rereading. Thank you for trusting me with your feelings like this is a safe establishment (it is not, but it’s cozy). You make the late nights worth it, the rewrites bearable, and the voices in my head feel slightly more productive.
          So step into the new year gently—or dramatically, your choice. Bring your snacks, your theories, your unhinged comments, and your hearts. I’ll bring the words, the trouble, and just enough tenderness to make it hurt in a good way.
