why is college already so chaotic?!?!?! its only been 2 weeks!!!!

i really need to rant rn...
          i don’t understand how people can shame someone’s taste and think that their own is superior than others and only those who have similar taste are worthy?!
          my brother normally doesn’t ask me or tell me anything even if i ask, but when my friends are over and they ask for recommendations, he’ll happily and they’ll ask me what i think and he’ll be like “i’ve given up on her.  i’ve seen her read/listen to/watch so and so…”
          i’ve also had friends ask for music recommendations, if they don’t like it, they’ll say that they don’t listen to those type of songs or they don’t enjoy it which is acceptable.  but if there are continuous recommendations of song which they seem to enjoy, then they’ll say that that particular person’s taste is improving, which again, i don’t understand what point you’re trying to make...
