Sorry, it has been. I tried to sit down because of your message and continue, but I can’t get back into the characters. SJM became too problematic for me, and I need distance from her series; it emotionally wrecked me, and not in a good/fan way. I can tell you that Devika would have trained Celaena, but on Maeve’s orders. She would have been sucked back into SJM’s series storyline arc and the only difference would be that she’s with Sam and things elsewhere would be much gayer (as in Celaena would be the only straight person). Sam would also have had drug addiction issues and insecurities regarding his ability to provide Celaena with happiness, but they would have worked out the majority of their relationship’s problems (including their inability to communicate) before returning to Erilea.
