Warren shook his head as he rubbed his temples, a grumble escaping him. He was honestly so annoyed he was getting a headache. "Believe what you want to believe but deep down we both know it's the truth." He wasn't bothered to continue this pointless argument with him seeing it got neither of them anywhere. It was a big waste of time. Nothing else he could really do. "But fine. Resume your pity party. I can't stop you, you wouldn't listen to me anyway." He shot hotly at the male in a sarcastic manner though he was just being honest with himself. Who ever listened to him anyway?

In the moment, he can’t be bothered to actually listen to Warren because (he will) throw himself his own pity party, which is what he was doing before the unexpected arrival of the other. His breathing gets raspy once more, on the verge of another panic attack, combined with an asthma attack. All he wants to do is be left alone, suffer for a bit, and then try to return to normal. “Pity points— don’t make me laugh.” Is all he coughs out, curling in as much as he can on himself. The inside of his chest begins to tighten, feeling as if at any moment his lungs will pop like a balloon. “If I wanted pity points. It wouldn’t be here.l

His gaze darkened as he stared the other down unsure of how to make up of this but right now things weren't looking too great. Shaking his head he closed his eyes trying to focus his thoughts elsewhere or else he would drive himself mad. He was notorious for his secret breakdowns but it is what it is, there was no changing how he is. "Now you're just being ridiculous so pull your head out of your goddamn ass and suck it up! There's no point in throwing yourself some fuck ass pity party for no goddamn reason! What do you think that'll accomplish? Want pity points? That's not happening anytime soon so suck it up!" He snapped out at him as an irritable huff escaped from him. The brunette quickly bit down on his tongue in order to not let any other words escape from his mouth knowing it'll only make everything worse.

“(Shit), sorry— I passed out. Where are we in the movie?” A groggy Mav asks, lifting his head up from the pillow he was ( … ) drooling on. “The movies not boring— just been s’tired lately ( … ).”

Warren just stared down into his lap refusing to look at him. "Fine. Go then." He took a moment to digest what he had been told. He clenched his jaw tightly not believing him whatsoever but it wasn't his life. They weren't his friends. His only friend was Mav and now he was running out on him but what else was new? No one ever stayed with him for long. That's just how his life is. An endless cycle of disappointment and heart break. He didn't acknowledge what the other said as he now laid down with his back turned towards him curling up into a ball wanting everything to disappear. Why would he bother fighting for someone to stick around when they clearly didn't want to be around him? If Maverick didn't want to be around him? Tonight could've gone a lot better or a whole lot worse but that's not something he was willing to comprehend. It's not like he had some weird mythical time powers to go back in time and stop himself from doing everything he has ever done. Would Mav be better off without him? He was sure of it. Deep down he knew the answer. Maybe distancing himself from him would help Mav get closer to Nathan and Victoria again. Just maybe. There was hope that the other male would reconnect with him but he also knew the truth. Victoria Chase and Nathan Prescott only care about themselves and one another. There was no doubt about it.

It’s uncomfortable to talk about really, he can sit here and defend his friends all he wants but there really wasn’t much to defend. The outsiders of their friendship already had a distinct image of them plastered in their minds, it was hard to describe to people the dynamics that they used to have, before everything crashed down. Part of Maverick feels bad about it, and another part of him wishes the pieces kept crumbling and people saw what actually goes on in their head. With a sigh, he looks down at his hands, anxiously fiddling with them. “Nathan cared. At some point. I know, hard to believe. That at some point, Nathan Prescott gave a shit about someone that wasn’t himself ( … ) things changed after my 16th birthday, it just feels like he went off the deep end or he was teetering over the edge. He wouldn’t let me get close.” It’s all he says about Nathan, ignoring the comment about the deep, psychological problems because he knows, Maverick knows in the back of his mind on how bad Nathan has gotten. “Victoria also cares. Out of the two of them, she cares the most. You can believe me but she has a soul; yeah, she’s an utter bitch sometimes but ( … ) she was the only one that would open the door for me at 3 in the morning. Would let me talk her ear off and let me sleep.” His experiences with his friends are vastly different from those that he currently surrounds them with, nostalgia clouds his brain, hope keeps him around; hopeful that they will change their ways. Mav takes a shuddery breath at the memories, reaching at the collar of his shirt to get more air. “I— I said enough, Warren. I’m— I’m just going to ( … ) go.” His chest tightens, curls around his lungs like an iron fist as he gets up to stand on unsteady legs. His flight and fight reaction is kicking in, and his current reaction is to run. “I’m real sorry about— everything.”

Warren nodded being rather content with the answer he had gotten, it made sense inside of his head. He wasn't going to push Mav more on that matter since it wasn't really his place to. He wouldn't ever have someone tell him anything they weren't comfortable with sharing unless it was essential to an actual life or death situation. That was an entirely different story at this point. He now flinched at the others sudden hostility, inching away from Mav to keep somewhat of a distance between the both of them just in case it was directed at him. He never knew. When anyone got pissy around him he always cowards away since well - his track record with other peoples anger isn't that great. "Then why don't you just...drop them? Clearly they don't care enough for your well being. I don't know Victoria that well but I know how Prescott is from first hand experience...that guy has some deep psychological problems he should get sorted." He grumbled, being very ticked off with how Nathan had treated him for years. "I'm sorry for that little ramble, the vortex club just gets on my nerves." He shrugged giving off a rather sheepish look, looking embarrassed. He hated being so outwardly emotional but he couldn't help it. Warren was just a very sensitive person inside and out.
