Hi everybody! I know I said I was leaving Wattpad, and this is NOT me coming back, but I heard about the new rules on here. I know that a lot of people are considering switching/have switched to sites like Ao3, and I would just like to say PLEASE brush up on fandom etiquette!! Mainly, “don’t like, don’t read” and “don’t be rude to authors.” I’m sure all of you are lovely people, but Ao3 is quite a different site than Wattpad even if both are considered sites for fanfics. Ao3 is NOT a social media site like Wattpad is. Also! Many fics are locked for registered users only, which means you will have to make an account. This is done usually to prevent AI scraping. However, to get an account, you will have to sign up for one and might have to wait a while to get approved. :)) Again, DO NOT harass authors if they include something that you don’t like, especially if they have it tagged!! So please please please check the tags very carefully. If the author does NOT have something tagged, you can tell them POLITELY.
