Letter to My Future Readers
There are stories that appear quietly, as if angels visit strange dreams — like a soft light under the door, like a thought that brushes your shoulder and calls you somewhere further.
I have been writing and creating for a long time — changing, transforming, searching for myself through different languages and genres. And now it feels like the right moment to open another space. A place where my stories can live not only in my native Ukrainian, but also in English — a language that lets me speak in a slightly different way.
I write about many things. About magic. About silence. About children and peculiar creatures. About tenderness and freedom. About love. About avant-garde, surreal dreams — everything I film as the director of my own poetry.
I write about what reality sometimes lacks, yet what always lives inside me.
Fairy tales, avant-garde images, poetry, small sparks of inspiration, texts that feel like dreams or imagination — these are the worlds close to my heart. Perhaps that’s why I decided to step into a wider audience: so that these worlds may find a few more hearts willing to listen.
Though I still don’t know whether I will find anyone in this vast crowd who feels like “my” reader.
Some of my Ukrainian works will remain here as they are. Some I will translate. I want this profile to be a small universe where fairy tales, poems, short novels, essays, illustrations and quiet thoughts live side by side — everything that shapes me as an author and as a person.
This is only the beginning.
I have already published my first short story in English — “Forgive Me.” It is an experiment and a first step. Strange and exciting, and I’m curious to see what it grows into.
Thank you for being here.
Even if we are only just meeting — it already feels meaningful to write for you.
