Hi, My name is Geoff Akers, the author of two books to date: Beating for Light - the story of First World War poet, Isaac Rosenberg and Of Winter's Cost - a novel which takes its readers on a journey from Warsaw's World War Two Ghetto to the modern-day disputes of the West Bank Territories. It has been described as a literary adventure with an emotional, personal undertone and a powerful reminder of the fragility of peace in the Middle East.
Before becoming a full-time writer I was a teacher for over fifteen years and have travelled extensively in Israel and the Middle East, including Jordan, Egypt and Morocco.
