Hiya!
So I had replied to some comments on TikTok, saying that chapter 4 of Thunderbolts*: Lost Light would be out today. Unfortunately that isn’t the case. This morning I was leaving my home to go and feed my friends Guinea Pigs, and as I was pulling out of my driveway, someone else reversed into the back of my car. No one was hurt, I was just more startled and shaken than anything else (I only passed my test in January). I have been dealing with trying to quotes to get my car fixed and insurance claims most of the day, which hasn’t left much time for me to finish writing and editing.
I am hoping to have more out tomorrow, maybe even a double update if time allows . Sorry it has take me a while to get it out.

At first, it was just friendship.
Juno Alcott had an artist’s soul and a quiet kind of strength — the kind that didn’t demand to be seen, but grounded everything around her. She was the first person at school who didn’t treat Miller like glass or a grenade. She didn’t tiptoe around the silences. She didn’t ask about the shadows. She just sat beside her and stayed.
Miller wasn’t used to people staying.
The Thunderbolts saw the changes before Miller did.
Bob was the first to notice, of course. He always noticed. He didn’t say anything — just raised an eyebrow the third time Juno stayed for dinner at the Tower and Miller didn’t stop smiling the entire time. When they sat on the floor and shared headphones, curled up in the corner with their shoulders touching, Bob quietly offered Juno her own mug for tea and started learning how she took it.
Alexei, ever loud and unsubtle, asked bluntly one night, “Is tiny artist girl staying again?” Then, with a grin, added, “She good for you. You don’t flinch as much when she’s here.”
Miller didn’t know what to say to that. But later that night, she found herself sitting next to Juno on the fire escape, knees pulled to her chest, and whispered, “You make everything feel quieter. I think that’s… good.”
Juno didn’t answer with words. Just leaned her head against Miller’s shoulder and let the silence speak.

One night, curled up in the communal living room with the rest of the team scattered around — Bob asleep on the floor, Yelena using Bucky as a pillow, John and Alexei bickering in hushed voices over a movie — Juno leaned in close and whispered, “You know I like girls, right?”
Miller nodded. “Yeah.”
“And I… like you.”
Miller’s heart caught in her throat. The rest of the room blurred out. Juno’s fingers brushed hers, light and warm. Miller turned, looked into her eyes, and for once, didn’t run from what she felt.
“I like you too,” she whispered.
There was no dramatic kiss. No swelling music. Just two girls holding hands under the soft flicker of a movie no one was really watching. And the sound of found family breathing softly around them — safe, whole, home.

I really wanna do oneshots within the “Thunderbolts*:Lost Light” universe. However, I feel like it’s a bit too soon to be doing that. Idk what do people think.
