Writing since I could curve a letter. Third child of 2 post-war opportunist teachers from London. Teenager in the '70's. Drop out in the eighties, until finding Lancaster University's Independent Studies Dept. Daughter arrived 1985. MA in Creative Writing with David Craig, 1988. Support worker with disaffected teenagers in the '90's leading to MSc. counselling and a private practice. Renewed the struggle to write fiction in the millenium with mentor Lindsay Clarke (all praise be to his name) and now faced with the hopeless task of getting published.
