I wrote my first novel, "Scorched Starlight," between the ages of 17-19. I'm 20 now, and love writing more than anything. 

I often times approach novel ideas with cute tropes or ships that I like, and try to apply those to genres I don't normally deal in, like YA Thriller, or superhero novels, or in the case of Scorched Starlight, fantasy. 

I got my start with posting my written work online through tiktok, under the username girlwhowritesthings (clever, I know), posting original songs of mine. From there, I got the nerve to start posting excerpts of my novel, a project I had been told had very slim chances of ever being published. That discouraged me for a long time, before I realized that through the internet and it's many terrors, there are actual ways for people to see my work. 

I so look forward to uploading more chapters of Scorched, as well as other novels I'm working on, and I really do hope the person reading this enjoys it, too.
