If you think about it, stormtide (official shipname for Y/N and Percy btw!!) are actually so angsty?? Like here's a girl who finds it hard to trust anyone new coming into her life (she's done it with her aunt too, a coping mechanism). She has so much pent up rage and frustration and most of the time she doesn't understand who she really is or why she is the way she is. She doesn't know how to let herself feel. And then there's Percy who only knows how to feel. Whose fatal flaw is personal loyalty. He's considered her a friend before he even considered her a rival (and never in the true sense of the word, that rivalry was really one-sided). A boy who opens his heart too easily and a girl who guards hers too tightly. It's bound to end in some tears and painful yearning. These are traumatized kids learning to love together. How achingly beautiful is that?
          	
          	 And I just had to share this rambling of mine at like 2 am cause I love them so much, even though sometimes it hurts to write them.
