Big News: 'Kiss me under the Moonlight' is Evolving
Hey everyone,
I have a bit of a confession.
As I’ve been diving back into this story and hitting 60,000 words, I’ve realized that it is becoming something much bigger—and a lot more mysterious—than the crossover I originally planned.
If you’ve been paying attention to the "not quite normal" clues I’ve been planting, you’ve probably sensed that this isn't just a typical university campus or a contemporary romance story. There are layers beneath the surface that I’m finally ready to reveal.
I’m at a crossroads and want your input on two big changes:
1. Transitioning to an Original Story - My characters have developed their own voices and secrets that don't really fit the SOTUS or 2 Moons world anymore. I’m thinking of changing the names and making this a fully original novel.
2. The "Glow-Up" Revision - I’m about 30–40% through the book, and I want to go back to Chapter 1 to do a deep edit. I’m not scrapping the draft, but I want to fix plot holes, add more depth to the characters, and tighten the pacing to match the new direction.
I want to hear from you.
Since you’ve been the ones voting and sticking with me for years, your opinion matters. Are you excited to follow these characters into an original world with a darker, more intense "vibe"? Or would you prefer it stay as a fanfic?
I’m going to give it one week for you guys to comment and let me know your thoughts before I start the revision process.
To those of you who have been here for years, through the breaks and the long wait—thank you. Writing can be a lonely process, but knowing there are few of you out there waiting for the next chapter has kept this story alive in my head. Even if you've never commented, seeing the read count go up gave me the push I needed to finally finish this story. You guys are the best. The soul of the story isn't changing—it’s just getting the "glow-up" it deserves. Let me know so I can decide how to take this further.
