Hey Hawa! Assalamualaikum! How are you?

I’ve recently started writing a story and thought you might actually enjoy it. I’d really love your feedback if you get a chance to read it.

It’s an emotional, intense story with desi family dynamics, quiet sacrifices, and a very pure… slightly complicated kind of love that doesn’t really ask for permission.

She is invisible in a crowded home.
He is alone in a perfect one.

She’s used to holding everything together on her own.
He’s used to his name meaning more than people ever think to look beyond.

They smile. They manage. They seem happy.

But somewhere beneath it all, there are things they quietly carry— things they’ve never learned to name, even to themselves.

It begins as a feeling they don’t understand.
A connection they never asked for.

They’re strangers—but somewhere between duty, dreams, and unspoken longing… something begins.

If that intrigues you even a little, I’d love for you to check it out

Hey,

I hope you’re having a cozy day, filled with books that feel like old friends.

I’m really sorry to slide into your space like this—I just came across your profile and noticed you enjoy emotional, character-driven stories. My friend has recently started sharing a story that’s really close to her heart, and I thought you might love it too.

It’s called In the Wake of Us.

          She’s never known love.
          He’s still haunted by it.
Neither of them saw the storm coming.

Maira believes she’s not meant to be loved.
Arham once was—and it broke him.
Now they’re bound by a marriage neither wanted, caught in a silence thick with pain and unspoken truths.

It’s a slow-burn, emotional read about grief, love, and the quiet ways people find their way back to themselves—and to each other. Not the kind of love that fixes everything… but the kind that changes you.

If that sounds like something you’d enjoy, it would mean a lot if you gave it a chance. My friend would be truly grateful for your support!

And if you ever feel like sharing your thoughts, she would love to hear them—only if you’re comfortable, of course.

Thank you so much for your time. It means more than you know.

There are moments in life when you feel stuck like nothing is moving, nothing is changing. You make du’a, you cry at night, but silence is all you hear. In those moments, remember these words: Kun Faya Kun. Allah doesn’t need time. He doesn’t need a process. He doesn’t need things to “fall into place.” When He decides something for you, all He says is Be and it is. In a blink, what felt impossible becomes your reality. You see, Allah’s delay is never a denial. It’s protection. It’s preparation. He’s arranging things in ways you can’t see, aligning hearts, clearing paths, softening what’s meant for you all before the command Kun is spoken. So if you’re waiting, don’t let impatience make you lose hope. Allah’s power doesn’t depend on time, it depends on His Will. And when the time is right, you’ll understand that every unanswered du’a was answered in a better way. Trust the One who only has to say “Be” and it is.

Salam! How are you doing?

I hope it is okay to share my story, Scarred.

What happens when faith itself becomes rebellion, survival means sacrifice, and love feels like a risk too dangerous to take?
If you enjoy dystopian worlds, complicated characters, and slow-burn romance in the midst of chaos, I’d be so grateful if you gave it a read and let me know what you think.
