I am so sorry… I only recently returned to the community after leaving back in 2019. Coming back after all these years, I never expected to learn that Kagura and Hayabusa were no more. It truly saddens me to see how their bond — something that once felt so integral to their characters — was slowly rewritten, softened, and eventually erased.
What hurts most is knowing that the old lore is not simply forgotten, but actively replaced. A story that once existed, that once mattered, is being overwritten as if it never happened at all. I returned to MLA only two days ago, just to confirm that my memory wasn’t betraying me — and there, at least, they are still canon. Seeing that contrast only deepened the ache.
My heart mourns for the two childhood sweethearts who were lost to retcons and time. Their story may no longer exist in the current advance server, and because of that, there is very little I can do or say to change it. Acceptance comes quietly, but grief lingers.
I loved using Kagura back in 2018. She was more than just a hero to me — she carried a story, a connection, a sense of warmth that made playing feel meaningful. After her revamp, I never touched her again. Slowly, I stopped playing altogether, because something essential was gone.
So this is all I have left to offer. These stories are written in mourning, in remembrance, and in love. Even if the game has moved on, I haven’t. And here, at least, Kagura and Hayabusa are still allowed to exist — as they once were.
