ugh, are you done? The harder they tried to act tough, the more amused he got. “You’ve gotta be shitting me,” he snorted between laughs, finally dropping his hand. “Kid, you really think your parents are gonna waste their time on some random stranger?” His grin turned sharp. “And snitching? Yeah, no—bad habit to pick up. Life’s got a real nasty way of teaching people why that doesn’t end well.”
