In terms of 'is it worth continuing?' I would say yes!! BUT only if you are enjoying it as the writer. I've found the best way to approach a fic is to write what YOU want to read and enjoy. Yes our audiences are important to consider when writing, but you need to see yourself as the 'first' audience, especially when you start the fic. Be super selfish and write what you enjoy, love and want to see in a fic.
Also think of writers or books you've read and were drawn to. For me, I'm a big fan of Sally Rooney so when I first started writing, I'd read a few snippets of her work to see how she describes characters, places, dialogue etc. and it helped a lot!
