I’m not saying I own a makeup style but it’s just kinda ironic to me that whenever I do something whether that makeup or clothes then suddenly this one person is doing that exact thing as well despite never once mentioning it before

@hyunjinnned I've never had the experience of this TT I'm genuinely so boring or casual with my style

I also am still recovering from injuries from last season and skiing, so I'm probably shouldn't even be playing like I am TT

@hyunjinnned thanks, I should be wrapping my ankle but it's a bish to do so and wear shoes with so I haven't been TT I am just wary of how I land on the bases because that's how I injured myself, I slipped on the very edge of it and completely turned my ankle in ಥ‿ಥ

@Seoul_wanderer yeahhh I nearly completely tore my ankle last year and it's still so unstable TT then twisted my knee a bit skiing, on the same leg, and I've got an old injury from about five years ago that messed up my entire other leg... Idky I'm even still playing but it hasn't been serious yet ಥ‿ಥ And thanks, I'm trying to take it easy but it's hard to when I need to run lol

anyway, I just finished another softball game. it's slowpitch, so there's no windup like fast pitch and it's such a bish to work with bc batting is so different. I also am stuck in the fast pitch motion and release point so I can't even be a pitcher ._.

lil_chaotic_gremlin_

@hyunjinnned Okay so, there's two different kinds of softball. In fast pitch, there's a windup motion (kinda like in baseball, they do the high step thing and then throw; it builds power for the pitch), where the throwing arm goes back and then up and around in a windmill motion before releasing the ball usually at the hip, the release point. It's a very intense motion and requires a lot of control and power in order to get the ball where you want, into the strike zone and over the plate.

In slow pitch, there is no windmill. This slows down the velocity and speed of the ball, and changes how you'd even swing at the pitch. The release point is therefore higher, since the power to get it to the plate is gone. The higher release point (usually just below chest height) means the ball has a greater arc, so when it falls that's where it gets the power and picks up speed. Because it drops so severely, the swing motion is from above rather than sweeping from below. It's called a cut swing or chopping; literally like chopping at a tree, cutting straight across your body with the bat to hit.

I was a pitcher for fast pitch for about four years, and so I'm used to everything about that. Slow pitch is an adjustment, but I've been hitting more. Definitely not pitching because fast pitch is too ingrained into my muscle memory to release any higher TT

Sorry for the long ass explanation but I hope this helps a little ಥ‿ಥ
