How the fúck do you start chapter one? Like genuinely? Do you start with some cute shít or dive right into the depressing stuff? I need help

I read this book, It's called serendipity and it's in my reading list of LGBTQ, you should really read it, and WOW. 
          
          I feel like my life is completed and I have nothing else to look for in life. That book is immaculate and so freakin good. 
          
          Anyways I'll keep breathing because the book isn't done yet. 100/10 I think it's up there with my all time favorite book.

          I didn't want to spoil it for the others. So I'll just tell you here....
          In the book first it feels like he falls in love with his father. But really Michael king is actually dr Douglas king who is pretending to be his father.....
          This might not make any sense
          The book has a lot of plot twist.
          I got so frustrated cuz I couldn't understand anything towards the middle of the book.
          Towards the end you'll get everything...
          Really sorry this is so long.
          But it actually is not his real father.
