"He isn't beautiful" I said and she stared at me in confusion.
"How so?"
"He doesn't have those ocean deep eyes or summer green or hazel. His are plain brown"
"And that makes him less beautiful?"
"No. But he also doesn't have blonde locks or black hair that fall in his eyes. His are plain brown"
"I don't understand?"
"He wears plaid shirts that covers up his artist hands. He doesn't wear tshirts to show the map stretched on his arms"
"That makes him less attractive?"
"He talks about canvas and brushes and not cars and movies"
So?"
"He separates the colours and blends them"
"Still not getting your point"
"You don't get it? There are stars in the night burning and brilliant and then there is him blinking dimly in and out like a firefly. And I am afraid I don't find the night sky beautiful now" -Anna.
