Hey all, looking for a mafia story I once read.
It’s about an arranged marriage to join mafias I think Italian and Spanish? They didn’t like each other as kids (the guy did tho). I don’t remember names, expect the guys bff is Bo and he has a twin. Then lost contact until the arrangement. The girl’s dad is abusive to her and her mom. Her sister is basically MIA. The husband become very protective of her (like in a love way) against her dad. They get married, even though a past fling interrupted the wedding (I think her name was Rosie). he doesn’t force himself on her even thought they need a heir. Then, I think they try to run. They get caught by their dads. They torture them, force him to watch her get r worded and force her to watch him get beat. Then she gets the chance to flee to another country. In the 2nd book, she’s eventually joins her sisters organization( I think assassins?). She then flees bc the sis convinced her, her husband is dead and she finds she been manipulating her. She find out the husband has a daughter (Rosie was previo before the marriage, but then remarried). She runs thinking he’s moved on after he spots her at his home. He chases her and brings her home. She’s diff due to trauma. Then her dad come back into the pic and basically causes the Rosie and her husband to die when trying to kidnap the daughter. Then idk the ending, but I know they flee and start a new life in another country in Asia?
